Orange launch own application store in France and UK


Orange plans launching their own application store in a few weeks in France and United Kingdom. The first handsets to get access to the store are HTC Touch Diamond, Nokia 5800, N96 and Sony Ericsson W980.
The new Orange app store will be called quite plainly Orange Application Shop and it will start rolling with with more than 200 game titles and applications.
The new service will offer free trial versions of the applications. The average pricing will be 6 euro and no app will cost more than 12 euro.
Later on this year (near fall) the Orange Application Shop will become available in most of the carrier's regions and will support much more phones.
