Smartphone

Traditionally smartphones were defined as phones which could keep your contacts and calendar organized with the computer, include a web browser and provide email access। Most smartphones also included multimedia features like a camera music and video playback। Nowadays most phones come with the above features and by that definition phones like the Nokia 6233 or the SE K750i also can be called smartphones। However this is not the case।
Smartphones are those phones which allow you to install programs to increase their functionality. It is just like a pocket computer. Again you can also install programs and games in traditional phones but these programs are limited to JAVA applications
Smartphones on the other hand can install programs in addition to JAVA applications. In fact a huge variety of third party software is available for most smartphones. In addition to this smartphones also allow viewing and editing of Office documents.
Smartphones can be made by putting phone functionality in a PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) or by putting “smart” capabilities in a phone.
